The first 2015 Tour de France yellow jersey holder, Rohan Dennis of BMC, started stage two in Utrecht, Holland, wearing a new Giro Synthe helmet with MIPS. This movable layer inside the helmet is said by proponents to reduce brain injury in the event of a crash. Giro does not have a Synthe with MIPS in its current line, and isn't yet commenting about this helmet.
Giro sponsors three teams in the Tour de France â BMC, Katusha and IAM Cycling â and members of each team were wearing the new helmet with the telltale little yellow MIPS sticker on stage two.
Scott, Lazer and POC also have helmets with MIPS liners, as does Bell, sister company to Giro.

Giro itself has seven MIPS helmets, with the Savant and the women's Sonnet being the only two road helmets in that collection.
