Fitness specialist Polar is poised to launch its first Garmin-style touch-screen GPS cycle computer, dubbed the V650.
It’s the second product launch from the Finnish company in recent weeks after it launched the V800 GPS watch at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas earlier this month
Official details of the Bluetooth Smart sensor-equipped Polar V650 are yet to be announced, although according to the website DC Rainmaker, it will be available in April, weighs 120g – so slightly heavier than units in the Garmin 800 series – and uses a quarter-turn mounting system.
It will be around US$180 cheaper than the Garmin 810 – official pricing is still to be announced but is expected to be around €220 / US$250.
