VDO's M5 is a top quality, easy to use and expandable bike dashboard – not to mention one of the neatest and most modern looking computers we've tested. But it’s certainly not cheap.
The clear three-row, four-cell display keeps centreline speed and subsidiary info clearly visible and there’s a backlight too. Back-and-forth scrolling makes set-up and accurate use easy, and the digital speed sensor gives trouble-free communication. The big battery means a long run life and it’s got a two-year warranty. Adding a cadence sensor and/or HR belt releases its full ride recording and training partner potential. The handy ‘Navigator’ feature counts down (or up) between waypoints if you’re using a route guide too, but you’re definitely paying for the premium quality and VDO’s impressive reliability record.
